MY HEART FOR THE WORLD
As a third-generation missionary, my passion for the nations was ignited at a young age. I remember staying up late, listening as my parents and their missionary friends shared stories of what God was doing around the world.
When I was twelve, I had my first opportunity to “go”—serving on the Texas-Mexico border with my older brother, Josh, and our church youth group, building homes for the homeless. It was there I first sensed God’s call to give my life to His work among the nations.
At nineteen, I moved to England where spent two years helping plant a church in Wolverhampton—an experience that shaped me deeply through both challenges and growth. Toward the end of my time in England, I met a beautiful girl from San Marcos, Texas, who shared my passion to impact the nations. Since then, Lauren and I have traveled the globe, leading teams, sharing Jesus, and serving leaders together.
During my freshman year of college, while home on winter break, God placed a deep and lasting call on my heart—to serve and resource His work across the world. Over the years, that vision has become clearer: to be part of planting 50 apostolic hubs—churches that not only serve as local spiritual families but also as mission bases that develop leaders, send teams, and transform culture.
I believe with all my heart that every person, community, and nation carries a unique calling that contributes to the global symphony of worship we offer Jesus. The mission isn’t to impose a Western expression of church, worship, or discipleship—but to uncover the distinct image of God planted within every culture from the foundation of the world. As people discover the ways of the Kingdom within their own story and heritage, we come alongside them to help walk out their calling in a way that multiplies—spilling over into neighbors, nations, and future generations.
This is the work I’ve committed my life to, and I’m expectant for how God will continue to move!
While we’re busy laying the foundation for the vision of apostolic hubs through Sozo Church in Central Texas, I’m working with leaders in Japan, Burundi and the US to establish and multiply hubs, with the potential of several more in the near future. There is a significant and growing cost of time, travel and resources that goes into this vision.
If you would like to partner with me in this vision and help cover my ministry and travel expenses you can do so with a tax deductible gift through Sozo Church by clicking here.
