Finding the Way of Jesus in the Wake of Kirk’s Assassination
Like many of you, I have been stunned and grieved by the news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. In moments like this, the air feels heavy with shock, sorrow, and even anger. Tragedy forces us to wrestle, not only with what has happened, but with how we will respond and engage with a world writhing in both anger and confusion. I’m beginning to see these cultural moments as an invitation to discover the way of Jesus and invite other’s into it. It seems as if the whole world is watching and waiting to see how we respond in this moment. Will the people who claim the name of Jesus follow the way of Jesus.

Custom-Made Grace: Rethinking the Fivefold Ministry of Jesus
Jesus gave us a blueprint.
And it doesn’t look like a celebrity pastor with a mic - it looks like a body built by grace, powered by the Spirit, and activated for mission.
The blueprint?
It’s what Ephesians 4 calls the Fivefold Ministry: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd (Pastor), and Teacher.
And if you think that’s just for the elite few up front… think again.

Size Matters
Every group you lead has a size, and with that size, a unique design. Don’t miss it.
Instead of always trying to grow bigger or keep things smaller, maybe the question should be: “What is this group made for — and how can I lead it accordingly?”
Because in the Kingdom of God, size doesn’t determine value, but it does shape strategy.
And in that sense, yes - size matters!

Discover Your Kingdom Calling
It’s impossible to live a life worthy of the calling you have received if you aren’t aware of the calling you have received. One of the enemy’s greatest strategies to slow the advancement of the Kingdom of God is to lie to you about your calling.

The Kingdom Comes in Seed form
Most things in the Kingdom come in seed form. They’re real, powerful, and present—but they require cultivation.

Living Loved
One of the most profound truths I’ve discovered is this: you cannot give what you haven’t received. I was trying to earn what God was offering free of charge. Religion is full of these kinds of futile attempts.

The Father Lens
Another hermeneutic, way of interpreting, Jesus taught, not only for reading the Bible but for life itself, is the “Father Lens.” God isn’t merely like a father in certain situations—it’s who He is at His core and how He always interacts with us (see Matthew 7:9-11). I’m convinced that this is lens is essential for a life a deep faith and unswerving love.

Building on the Right Foundation
Paul wasn’t laying out a hierarchy of importance in 1 Corinthians 12 — he was giving us a blueprint for building. Order determines culture. When apostles and prophets are foundational, the culture that forms is very different from a consumer church.

Cruciform Vision
To see Christ crucified is to see clearly.
To see clearly is to live cruciform.
And to live cruciform is to step into the unveiled reality of the Kingdom.

Preach LIke Yourself
God created you to be a solution to the world’s problems, and there’s a unique sound in your voice that reflects who God is. This sound carries an anointing—carrying the very power of God to fulfill His purposes.

Power Vs Love
I believe this Love Paradigm—what a business leader friend of mine calls the cooperative paradigm—is the engine of Kingdom leadership. It’s the key to creating a healthy organizational culture, drawing out the hidden strengths of others, and inviting people to step into their Kingdom calling. Sadly, many leaders never fully enter the Kingdom realm because they refuse to exchange the Power Paradigm for the Love Paradigm.

Give Me My Hill Country
A “new year” is an interesting thing. On one hand it’s simply another day on the calendar, and yet it seems like an incredible opportunity to reflect and live and goals and vision. There’s something in our thinking that thrives on the boundaries of a year. As you step into the 2025, whether your 25 or 85, I encourage you to do it with deep gratitude for the ways God has moved in your life and do it with courages and faith-filled vision for what lies ahead - we have some giants to slay and a hill country that has been promised to us!

Frameworks for Leadership
I’m convinced that one of the most vital things leaders need isn’t more information or better people. Instead, we need the right frameworks to process information and equip the people we already have. With the right frameworks, everything else falls into place.
I want to share three frameworks that have shaped the way I do ministry. I’m not claiming expertise in these areas, nor am I saying my frameworks are superior to others. My point is that having the right frameworks for filtering challenges and making decisions can simplify everything you do.
